Jesus tells us in the passage above not to take thought (worry). So if we will heed his words life will be much better for us. Although He doesn’t tell us, don’t you think you could spend your time in prayer and get far better results?

If you have Jesus you have peace that passes all understanding. The world does not understand how in the middle of trouble and turmoil we have peace. We still have troubles but we have Jesus and He gives us comfort at all times.

In these scriptures we are told to sing praises to the Lord with thanks and along with music. This tells me that God likes singing and music. As we approach Thanksgiving Day we should be thankful every day but especially on this day. Then in the next scripture we are told to make a joyful noise unto the LORD, as well as a loud noise, then to rejoice and sing praises.

They were told to bind this on their hands and between their eyes, even write it on the post of their houses as well as on their gates. I think this was to be a reminder to the children at all times. We need to be doing this for our children today teaching them at all times that Jesus is the 

Our enemy the devil will use it to say you aren’t doing enough or doing what you are doing right and the first thing you know you won’t be doing anything. You and I have to just be who we are and do what God has called us to do. Just be yourself don’t try and be someone you are not.

she poured it out on Jesus. In Matthew and Mark it says on His head but John says on his feet and that she dried them with her hair. In any case, head or feet, she poured out on Jesus at a very great cost to her. Should we not do the same today? You may not have great wealth or valuable things but you have something you can pour out on Him. 

Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Jesus offered Himself as payment for our sin debt in order to give us our freedom from the bondage of sin. If He has set you free you are free indeed.

The Psalmist ask why are you cast down in soul or why are you depressed. There are many reasons why we get depressed. Some say that if you are a Christian you cannot get depressed. I would argue that point, for I know that I have been saved and I have bouts of depression. You might say why are you depressed? There are things we face in life that pull us down off of the mountain tops

So you see, you can be bulked up with muscles and not be strong in the Lord. It is the sweet Holy Ghost that makes us strong and able to stand in the face of adversity and proclaim the goodness of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

God has given us many precious promises, do you believe that He will come thru on each of them. I used to think that was for others and that I was not worthy of His attention to my problems. But the Bible teaches us that God is not a respecter of persons

As we celebrate Easter, remember its not about bunnies, eggs and all the trappings the world tries to sell this time of year. It is about Jesus the Messiah being crucified and buried and then being raised from the dead. Hallelujah He is Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Please friend heed the warning, there is just a step between you and death and you never know when that step will be taken. I heard that Bro Calvin Evans preached a message out of this passage and a few hours later took that last step into eternity. He never thought, I’m sure, when he preached this message that it would be his last or that he was that close to death.  

Jesus asked his disciples this question. who do ,men say I am? That is the question that man still wrestles with today. Today just as then many have different opinions of who Jesus is. But it really matters who you say that He is. Many think he was a good man, a good teacher and even a holy man. All are true but He was much more than these. He was the only begotten Son of God, the Saviour of men’s souls. To all that would believe in him and confess Him as Lord.

Moses almost got to the Promised Land but because of his disobedience he never got to enter in with the children of Israel. God had told him to speak to the rock but in anger he struck the rock. That seems like a small thing but disobedience is disobedience.
