ALL

1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

John makes it very plain that there is none without sin and that there is a remedy for sin. That remedy is in the person of Jesus Christ, not in the blood of bulls and goats, but He will forgive us our sins if we confess them to Him. Notice John said all, not part but all. Jesus is able and ready to forgive. It’s not His will that we sin but if we do He can and will forgive us if we ask. I would hate to think that I had sin in my life that could not be covered by the blood of Jesus, life would be hopeless. But praise God he is able and willing to forgive ALL. That should bring comfort to every Christian.

Then in the Old Testament there is a passage that should bring us comfort and hope on another front.

Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Who among us hasn’t had trouble and afflictions in this life? This passage here in Psalms says that the Lord will deliver out of all of them. The stipulation is the righteous is who He will do this for. What makes us righteous? There is not enough good works you can do to be righteous. It takes Jesus living in us to make us righteous. The only righteous thing about me is Jesus. Scripture tells us our righteousness is as filthy rags. So we must have Jesus in order to be righteous. Then He will hear us and deliver us from the things that afflict us. The scripture tells us He will hear us and deliver us from all

trouble and affliction.

Take comfort friend in these promises made to us. All means all and the Scriptures tell us He will forgive all our sin, deliver from trouble and deliver from the many afflictions we may suffer from. That’s enough to make any Christian happy and full of joy.

Have a great day
