God Wants You To Be Blessed Part 2

Blessed part 2

I am still thinking on being blessed this week. In Matthew chapter 5 we have what are called the beatitudes, which are a part of the Sermon on the Mount, given by Jesus himself. In these verses we are told that everyone can be blessed, no matter their circumstance.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

The poor in spirit blessed, the mourner blessed, the meek blessed, those that hunger and thirst not after this worlds stuff blessed, merciful blessed, pure in heart blessed. You get the idea do what’s right, desire what’s right and you will be blessed.

In this same vein of thought Luke records Jesus words, that if you hear the word and keep the word you will be blessed. Do you know why preachers preach the Word week in and week out? First, to see the lost saved, secondly, to see the saved blessed, if only they will hear and obey

Luke 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

In the last book of the Bible and the last chapter we are told again to do the words of the book and be blessed

Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Lastly, we are told in the passage below that those which are called to the marriage supper will be blessed. To be called to this you have to sign up to be eligible to be called. You do that when you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and your name is recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life. What a blessing!!!!!!!!!!!

Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
