The End

THE END

1Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

As we come to the end of another year, we look with great expectation to the new year for better days. We look back at 2020 with sadness and for many heartaches. Even though we have had a disease rock our world since the last of February, God has still been good. He is still on His throne and none of this has taken Him by surprise. Our scripture says the end of things is at hand. While the end is not yet, it may be nearing the end for some. Death may be just around the bend for some or even Jesus’ coming and catching away (rapture) of the church. One thing is for certain it is closer today than it was yesterday.

The scripture goes on to say to be sober and watch unto prayer. The word sober here means to be of sound and steady mind. Watch means to abstain from wine and to be grave and to look, then prayer or earnest prayers regularly. This would be a good practice all the time but especially as we look to the end of this year and the beginning of next year. Also, as the time of the end of the church here on earth draws near or if you and or I should be drawing near to the end of life here these tools for our daily walk would be good advise. Let us watch and pray as this year ends and we start a new year, purpose in your heart to be watching and praying in the days to come irregardless of how many or few we have left.

My wish for you as we start another year is that you will prosper spiritually and financially ,

and be in good health in the days to come. Pray for one another and love the brethren and you will find you will have one of the best years ever.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
