Thirsty
Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
Have you eve been thirsty? I am talking about drinking out of a mud puddle thirsty. I have been thirsty before and be surrounded by water. But it wasn’t drinkable.
Many around the world today are thirsty and are drinking bad water and becoming sick from it,
I want to talk to you today about thirst, not a physical thirst, but a spiritual thirst. Many are thirsty today for a spiritual drink and are looking everywhere for it but where it can be found. The Lord is the only place where you can find that water that will satisfy. I find myself in a dry spiritual place more times than I like. There are many things that put us in these dry places. It may be that we have grown away from the Lord., We may be putting other things before Him. It could be health factors or pain in our lives that will keep our minds in a place where we can’t keep our walk with the Lord where it needs to be.
Many will be shocked to hear that preachers get in dry and thirsty places. But let me assure you it happens to us all. Not only do we get thirsty but with that comes depression. Because we know what we should do and what we want to do, but because of the thirst for the things of the Lord we feel we have failed.
So my friend stay hydrated in the word and prayer so you don’t get thirsty.
Have a great day.
