Are You Willing To Go

ARE YOU WILLING TO GO?

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

This is a question that each of us must answer for ourselves, I cannot answer for you and neither can you answer for me. If you are in Christ there is a call for you to go somewhere for Him. It may only be to your family and friends, or it could be to your community or workplace. It may even be that you have been called to the ministry and are sent to a place outside of where you know or are known. You may be called to preach the gospel or to be a foreign missionary. Whatever it may be you can be sure if Christ saved you along with salvation comes a call.

Isaiah knew he was not ready to fulfill any type of service, because he said:

Isaiah 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

He was undone because he had unclean lips and once he saw the Lord of hosts it was apparent to him of his condition. Then in this passage we are told a seraphim took a live coal off the altar and touched his lips and cleansed him. Now he was ready for service. And when the Lord asked “whom shall I send and who will go for us?” Isaiah was ready.

God will not use an unclean vessel to do His work, nor will He call someone who is full of sin to go for Him. We must be cleansed, and today it’s not by fire but by the blood of Christ.

1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Are you saved? Are you clean? If so then you are ready to answer the call, “Whom shall I send and who will go for us”. Now the ball is in your court, will you go?

Will you be like Isaiah and say “here am I send me”? Scripture tells us to go.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

I realize all are not called to go to foreign lands, but we should help those that do. I have heard it said like this “go and if you can’t go send”. The main thing is to be willing to go or do what you can for the cause of Christ.

Have a great day
