God Is Able
GOD IS ABLE
In a day when the news is pretty much peddling gloom and doom, and being truthful my generation has never seen a time like this, we need hope. I only have one source of hope today and that source is Jesus Christ. Many today have placed their hope in other sources such as money, power, politicians, pleasure and the list goes on and on. But I am glad to report to you that all these are not able to deliver you out of a time of trouble, but Jesus can, He may not do it the way we want but if you are one of His, He is able to deliver. Sure money can buy some comforts but it cannot save your life much less your soul. Look how God delivered the prophet Daniel from an impossible situation.
When Daniel disobeyed an order that the king was tricked into implementing he was, per the order of the king, cast in the den of lions and the king was worried for Daniel’s life, but was unable to reverse the order. He went to where Daniel was. Pay close attention to what he said.
Daniel 6:16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.
19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.
20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.
The king said “Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee”. Did he believe that, we don’t know. We do know that he came to the den early the next morning and said “O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually able to deliver thee from the lions”. Sounds like to me he knew who God was, but still wondered if He had delivered Daniel. Can you imagine what he felt when Daniel said “O king, live for ever.” Just as there was deliverance available to Daniel there is also deliverance available to us, only believe, That is what Jesus told Jarius:
Mark 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
Even though his daughter was dead, according to the world, Jesus said only believe, and she lived again. Daniel should have died in the den of lions but he believed and was delivered. I can tell you based on God’s word, testimonies of others and personal experience my God is more than able to deliver us from the trials we face.
HAVE A GREAT DAY, IF FOR NO OTHER REASON, KNOWING HE IS ABLE!!!!!!!
