Who Do You Say Jesus Is
WHO DO YOU SAY JESUS IS?
Mark 8:27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?
28 And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ
Jesus asked his disciples who others said He was. They answered Him with John the Baptist, Elias, or another one of the prophets. For the most part the people of that day did not recognize Him as the Messiah. Just as so many today don’t recognize Him to be the Son of God. Then He asks them the question, who do you say I am? This is where the rubber meets the road. Peter gave the right answer, “Thou art the Christ”. In Matthews’s gospel Jesus tells Peter that flesh and blood did not reveal that to him, but His Father in Heaven did.
Now let me ask you who do you say Jesus is? Maybe I should ask who do you know that He is? Many will give an answer that He was a good man, a great teacher, a leader, or some may give the answer that he is God’s son. But they don’t know Him.
Some may say who you think He is. I’m glad you asked, I’ll be glad to tell you.
It’s not who I think He is, the answer is I know He is:
The only begotten Son of God The Savior of my soul.
In Him I live move and have my being. He is my healer
My Deliverer My Rock
My Defender My Advocate
He’s my King He is my Risen Savior
He is soon coming for His own
WELL GLORY HE’S MY ALL and ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HALLELUJAH
Do you know Him like that? If you don’t now is the time. We are living in perilous times and if I did not have Jesus and know that He had me, I would not rest until I was sure of who He is in my life. Friend, today is the day of salvation. Don’t put off the most important thing that man must do in this life. Ask Jesus to save you and according to His word He will. Then you will know Him for who He is.
