Remember God Is In Control
REMEMBER GOD IS IN CONTROL
Daniel 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
As I write this we are only hours away from an election in our country. In a time when our nation is so divided and hatred seems to run rampant we need to know that God has it all in control. Don’t misunderstand me God is not the one causing the hate and division, although some of it is coming out of people because of their hatred for God. But we need to remember everything is on a time table and not ours but on God’s timetable.
Notice in verse 21 it says: “He removeth kings, and setteth up kings”. They were not always good kings in the Old Testament and sadly most were considered bad kings but God had them in the place He wanted them. Why would He let bad men be in power, in Israel’s case it was to draw the people back to Himself. Sadly this did not always happen and in our day I think God has allowed many things to happen in our land for the very same reason, to draw people to Himself, and we aren’t seeing a great number come to Him in America.
Here is another scripture that lets us know the leaders are used of God.
Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
This tells me He puts in power who He wants and it is for His plan and time and many times He is using them and they don’t even realize it. But I read this many years ago, 10 things that we can be guaranteed of after the election:
1. God will still be on His throne.
2. Jesus will still be King of kings and Lord of lords.
3. The Bible will still have all the answers to every problem.
4. The tomb will still be empty.
5. Jesus will still be the only way to Heaven.
6. Prayer will still work, it will make a difference and God will still answer prayers.
7. The cross and not the government will still be our place of salvation.
8. There will still be room at the cross.
9. Jesus will still save anyone who will call on Him and place their faith in Him,
10. Jesus will still be with us always, He will never leave us or forsake us.
Remember this, come what may God is in full control.
Have a great day!
