Trust The Lord
Psalm 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Trust means a refuge, confident, sure, secure
Do you trust the Lord? It is awfully easy to say yes when things are going good, but when things are going bad, what then? If your bank account is almost gone and the bills are coming due and there is more month left than money, what do you do then?
When sickness has come and the doctor doesn’t give a good prognosis, do you still trust Him? When death has claimed a loved one, do you trust the Lord? We either trust Him with everything or we really don’t trust Him. I know in my life there are things that I can’t do anything about but, whatever the outcome I trust Him. I may have fears and dreads but I know I can fully trust him. I am sure of Him, confident and secure in Him.
Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. He trusted the Lord in suffering, he knew the Lord would take care of him no matter what came his way.
I heard a lady give a testimony this week on how she had learned to trust the Lord. She thought she did before but due to circumstances she had learned that she only partially trusted the Lord before. She stated that she sometimes had anxiety but she still trusted Him.
As Christians we can trust the Lord and we should. So if you‘re not trusting Him with everything in your life, purpose in your heart to trust Him. Life will be so much better for you.
The scripture I used today tells us if we will delight ourselves in the Lord and trust Him, that He will give us the desires of our heart. I think I’ll trust Him.
Have a great day
