Was Jesus The Prophesied Messiah
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Man has tried to discredit this verse saying that it is impossible for a woman who has never had relations with a man to conceive a child. You must admit it sounds a little out there, but man thinks with the carnal mind and God has never nor will He ever operate carnally. God operates on the Spiritual world view if you would. The Bible teaches us in:
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
There is nothing that He cannot do except lie, that is the only thing that is impossible for Him to do. So if He says it in his word, I’m going to believe Him instead of man.
In the Old Testament there are at least 324 prophecies that point to the Messiah. Did you know that only one, did you get that, one man fulfilled all 324 prophecies? His name was Jesus, he was the fulfillment of them all. I got some information sourced from Peter Stoner a mathematician that isliterally mind blowing. He says that if 1 person fulfilled just 48 of the prophecies in the Old Testament it would be 1 in 10 followed by 157 zeros. That is just astonishing but Jesus did, not just 48 but at least 324 found in the Old Testament. This number would be so astounding that the human mind could never comprehend it.
I read in something some years, ago and I cannot remember where for sure, that if someone wrote me a letter and put postage on it without a name, address or state and zip code, I would have 0 chance of receiving the letter. But if they put Randy on it that would narrow it down somewhat but I still would not receive the letter. If they put Randy Maynord it would narrow it down more, but, I still would not receive the letter. If they put the house number it would narrow it down a little more but chances of me getting the letter are slim to none. Then if they put the road name after the house number that would really start to narrow it down, but, probably I would not get the letter. If they happened to put the town where I live that would help, but again, it is doubtful that I would receive the letter. But if they put the state and zip code, chances are pretty good I will get the letter in the mail. This is what happened with Jesus. We did not just get a sketch of who the Messiah would be, where He would be born, who He would be born to. But we get the whole address if you will in the Old Testament. It leaves no doubt in my mind of who He was and what He would do while here on earth.
By the way if you claim to be a Christian and do not believe in the virgin birth, you need to examine yourself to see if you are of the faith because if Jesus was not born of a virgin, He was not Messiah. If what you read for a bible says a young woman, ,as the late Bro Roger Duncan said, there are trash cans all around the place. Toss it because there were a lot of young women at that time but they were not over shadowed by the Holy Ghost and did not conceive, it was a virgin and her name was Mary.
To answer my question that I used as a title, YES, YES, Yes he was the Messiah the Savior of the world.
Have a great day!
