Please don’t make excuses to God about why you aren’t doing what He wants you to do. But let me beg you if you are not saved today to call upon the Lord and believe in Him and be saved today. You might not have tomorrow!!!
Read More18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Here Jesus tells us how the church is built, not on Peter as some think but on his profession that “Thou art the Christ the Son of the living God”. You and I must believe this and confess this in order to be a part of “the church”.

Read MoreAll those years before when God gave the men of old the words that they wrote about the coming of the Saviour they did not know when this would be, but God knew. God has a plan and everything happens at the time appointed.
Read MoreThe Saviour was born and placed in a feeding trough, not as we know them but it was hewn out of stone in a cave like area. Not what we would have planned had we been the planners of His birth.
Read MoreJesus was born in Bethlehem some 700 years after Micah spoke these words. Micah tell us that Bethlehem was a small place, but that is where the Lord was born, in a humble town, in a lowly stable. Not as the world would have planned it out had it had its way.
Read MoreIf you deny the truth that Jesus and God are one, then you deny the tenants of Christianity. I have heard the argument that this would be impossible but, I will remind you with God all things are possible. If Jesus were not God in the flesh then why would He have made the statements He did such as;

Read MoreWill you agree with me that we all need help on a daily basis? It may be to get a door opened when you have your hands full or as serious as being in the hospital in excruciating pain with no relief in sight. We all need help in one way or another. Much of our help comes from those around us, spouse, friends or just a passerby. But many times our need is not one that just anyone can help with. It takes one with bigger and more powerful hands than man. That is what David was talking about in the following verse.

As I was preaching a few weeks ago I challenged the congregation to go through our alphabet and use each letter to begin a word that describes Jesus. Here is my list. Now try this for your self.

Everyone who has been to Church or Sunday School has or should have been exposed frequently to this scripture, for in it is the Gospel in a nutshell. Let’s look at 5 amazing things in this verse
Read MoreThe devil is described as a roaring lion. Did you know that primarily the older lions are the ones who roar, as they have lost their teeth and are not the ones who will go in for the kill? But the old lion roars to scare the prey and to signal the young ones to attack. When one gets scared they tend to do things out of character. Remember Peter using a sword? He was not a solider but was a fisherman. He was scared and tried to do something even though it was the wrong thing. We tend to do the same thing.
Read MoreThe devil is your enemy, be sure of that. He is after everyone seeking those he can consume. Don’t take him lightly as he is good at what he does, for he has had years of practice. Starting on the earth in Genesis when he came to Eve in the garden, he was seeking to destroy God’s creation. But even before this, in heaven, he came against God and wanted to take over, thinking himself to be something he wasn’t nor would ever be.

Read MoreKnowing we have peace with God should give the believer a freedom and peace that a non believer cannot surpass. But sadly many times we as Christians are the ones who are in turmoil and tumultuous situations, and do not demonstrate that great peace that we have. Jesus left us with His peace and I think many times we forget that.
