If God has not given us a spirit of fear, then where does fear come from? The enemy. Jesus tells us not to fear man but to fear God, for He has not forgotten us. In the bad times or good times God is still in control. That is some good news, here is more good news.

As I think on the thought of forgiven or not. I have talked to people that were not sure if they had “forgiveness of sin” or not. My answer to them most of the time is simply this, “if you don’t know if you are forgiven or not you probably aren’t”. Scripture tells us that we may know this.

Isn’t it an awesome thing that the Creator of this world knows you and I and never forgets us? Even when man is astray from God the Lord does not forget him and draws him to himself. While many never heed His call they are not forgotten. But to us that are saved He knows us and hears us when we call on Him.

The words forsaken, forsook and forsake all have basically the same meaning, to leave, desert or leave behind. We probably all have felt left or deserted at one time or another. Jesus felt it on the cross

Christian before you go saying the preacher is poor, examine what he is saying. If he is preaching out of the blessed old book and telling you the truth, he is not poor but he is rich in the things of God.

Jesus demonstrated his love for us, in dying on the cross for us. Friend I want you to know that you are loved. You may not feel loved, may not see the love of your fellow man toward you, but be of good cheer you are loved.

Everyone wants to be appreciated and many seek the approval of their peers. We all like to think we are doing a job well and yet, some feel that they never do anything well.

These scriptures tell us the way to walk. If we want to be where the Lord wants us to be we must walk the way He wants us to.

Please don’t make excuses to God about why you aren’t doing what He wants you to do. But let me beg you if you are not saved today to call upon the Lord and believe in Him and be saved today. You might not have tomorrow!!!

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Here Jesus tells us how the church is built, not on Peter as some think but on his profession that “Thou art the Christ the Son of the living God”. You and I must believe this and confess this in order to be a part of “the church”.

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

All those years before when God gave the men of old the words that they wrote about the coming of the Saviour they did not know when this would be, but God knew. God has a plan and everything happens at the time appointed.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem some 700 years after Micah spoke these words. Micah tell us that Bethlehem was a small place, but that is where the Lord was born, in a humble town, in a lowly stable. Not as the world would have planned it out had it had its way.

If you deny the truth that Jesus and God are one, then you deny the tenants of Christianity. I have heard the argument that this would be impossible but, I will remind you with God all things are possible. If Jesus were not God in the flesh then why would He have made the statements He did such as;

As we approach this Christmas season we will look at some things about the “REASON FOR THE SEASON”, which is Jesus Christ

D L Moody said, “We are not told that Jesus ever taught His disciples how to preach, but He taught them how to pray. He wanted them to have power with God, then He knew they would have power with man.”
