Trust The Lord

When sickness has come and the doctor doesn’t give a good prognosis, do you still trust Him? When death has claimed a loved one, do you trust the Lord? We either trust Him with everything or we really don’t trust Him. I know in my life there are things that I can’t do anything about but, whatever the outcome I trust Him. I may have fears and dreads but I know I can fully trust him. I am sure of Him, confident and secure in Him.

Disappointment

I don’t like disappointment, but, even more I hate the thought of disappointing others. I especially don’t want to disappoint my Lord after all He has done for me but I am afraid that I do disappoint Him in things that I do and those that I don’t do. I don’t like the thoughts of doing that. I don’t want to disappoint my church family but I know that the best I can do I still disappoint them. Believe me I don’t get up in the morning with the thought or intent of disappointing the Lord or my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that you don’t either.

What Have You Purposed To Do?

What have you purposed in your heart to do or not to do that you might not defile yourself? I know we are not saved by works, and that all have sinned and came short of the Glory of God. But if we have been saved and belong to Jesus, there are things in each of our lives that we need to purpose in our hearts not to do to keep ourselves as clean as possible.

Holiness

The word holiness seems to be one that has left most churches and preaching today. It is associated with a particular set of churches and thought not to apply to us today. Granted there is nothing holy about you or me except Jesus if you are saved. But just because we are saved doesn’t let us off the hook. We are to strive to be holy in all we do. AW Tozer said something along the lines of Christianity in America is without holiness. He died in 1963. If it was lacking holiness then how much the more today?
